Poland: defending champions ZAKSA win 3 points on season debut. Win also for Resovia and Radom

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle prevailed in their first match of the new season of the Polish Volleyball Championship.
The defending champions came back after losing 0-6 in the fourth set to triumph over the home side Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, with a score of 1-3 (21:25, 25:22, 16:25, 16:25) in their inaugural match of the 2022/23 PlusLiga. Marcin Janusz, ZAKSA’s starting setter and member of the country’s national team, didn’t play due to illness.
Łukasz Kaczmarek led the winners with 24 points, while Wojciech Żaliński served 4 aces and Ukrainian middle blocker Dmytro Pashytskyy, made 5 stuffs.
Karol Butryn scored 18 points for Olsztyn.

On the other matches, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów easily defeated Projekt Warszawa 3-0 (25:12, 25:21, 25:20) while Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom win in five sets (18:25, 22:25, 25:12, 25:23, 18:20) on the field of LUK Lublin.
