Italy: Perugia destroy Verona in advance of Round 3

In the only match of Round 3 of the 2022-23 Italian Volleyball Championship played on Saturday, October 15, Sir Safety Susa Perugia stopped the run of this season’s revelation so far, WithU Verona.
The opening of the third round, which has surprisingly become a clash at the top of the charts, ended with a clear win in three sets by Perugia (25:22, 25:14, 25:20).
After having defeated Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza and Itas Trento, Verona suffered their first defeat of the season on the court of Andrea Anastasi’s side.
On the other hand, It’s the third triumph for Perugia, who are thus temporarily alone to the top waiting for tomorrow’s third-round matches.
The Luxembourger-Italian Kamil Rychlicki scored a match-high 17 points including 4 blocks, while the Russian Maksim Sapozhkov scored 15 for Verona.
