Champions League: Hebar and Benfica make first step towards Group Stage

Third and last Round of qualification stage of 2022/23 CEV Champions League.
First leg matches were played on Wednesday and on Thursday.
Yesterday, Bulgarian champions Hebar Pazardzhik made first step towards Group Stage of the competition by beating Croatia’s Mladost Zagreb at home in four sets (25:27, 25:21, 25:14, 25:15). The players around italian expert Camillo Placì were superb in blocking, collecting 18 points from this element (against the only 4 of their rivals).
In today’s game, Portugal Sport Lisboa e Benfica celebrated a victory with the same result on the field of Finland’s Ford Levoranta Sastamala, better known in world of volleyball as VaLePa (21:25, 25:21, 22:25, 17:25).
