1 min read
Hebar Pazardzhik overcame Mladost Zagreb to progress to the 2023 CEV Volleyball Champions League groups.
The Bulgarian champions qualified for the group stage of the competition for the second year in a row.
Camillo Placì’s side defeat Croatia’s Mladost by 3-1 (26:28, 25:20, 25:17, 25:10) on the road in a rematch of the 3rd Qualifying Round of the elite European club tournament. Hebar lost the first set, then took the next two, which was quite enough for their progression to the main round given they prevailed 3-1 in the first leg.
Todor Aleksiev top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Nikolay Nikolov made 6 blocks and Italian Jacopo Massari 75% reception (12 digs, 42% excellent).
