Austria: first win for Weiz. Graz ko again, Hypo Tirol new leaders!

After the end of Austrian Volley League 2022/23 Round 5, we have a new leaders in the standings, and they are Hypo Tirol.
Taking advantage from yesterday’s defeat of Waldviertel on the field of Aich/Dob, the Innsbruck side today needed only three sets and 65 minutes to win on the field of UVC Holding Graz (25:21, 25:20, 25:20). Hypo Tirol is the only team still undefeated after five games, with 14 points, two more than now second-placed Waldviertel.
Top scorers in Graz were Anes Perezic (17) and Michael Ladner (13) among the hosts, Luan Weber (16) and Arthur Nath (15) for the winners.

In the second game on Sunday, VBC TLC Weiz celebrated their first seasonal win, and they did it by beating VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt with the same result (25:17, 25:21, 25:15).
Thanks to this result, they reached seventh place with five points in the current charts. Their rivals, on the other hand, are at the bottom with only one set win so far.

Round 5 will end on November 14 with the game between UVC McDonald’s Ried and TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien.
