After the advance played yesterday and in which Monza defeated Cisterna at tie break, other games of 2022/23 Italian Superlega CredemBanca were played today. In first game of the day, Valsa Group Modena won in four sets on the field of Gioiella Prisma Taranto (25:22, 23:25, 20:25, 19:25), confirming their role as favorite. Adis Lagumdzija was named MVP of the match and, in fact, he was decisive, scoring the match-high (24 points).
In big match of the day, an unstoppable Sir Safety Susa Perugia maintained the perfect record in the competition even after eight games played.
Not even Itas Trentino, the runners-up, have managed to slow them down. Andrea Anastasiâs team earned its eighth victory out of eight games played and boast a maximum number of points, 24. And, in a fact very promising to their supporters, Perugia included victories also over most of their direct opponents for the title, including todayâs rival.
The game ended 3-1, partially 22:25, 25:19, 27:25 and 25:13.
In accordance with their nickname, the Block Devils, they established supremacy over Trentino in the block: 17 against only 6 of the opposing side!
Cuban-Polish Wilfredo LeĂłn and Brazilian FlĂĄvio Gualberto stood out the most in this element with 5 stuffs each. The former was the gameâs top scorer with 20 points. Daniele Lavia (19 points and 4 aces) tried to compensate for the anonymous game of Matey Kaziyski as the Bulgarian veteran was, unlike all previous games in this great season for him, basically invisible.
Close the picture an amazing volleyball show between the home side Allianz Milano, who played in front of 3318 supporters on theor Allianz Cloud, and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza who, eventually, manage to win the game at tie break (18:25, 25:21, 25:23, 22:25, 13:15).

Although basically without middle blockers (with the exception of Marco Vitelli), with captain Matteo Piano still out and Agustin Loser on the bench, Milano managed to play a very good volleyball.
Leal was the absolut top scorer of the match with 24 points and was named MVP of the match, while Japanese superstar Yuki Ishikawa scored 19 points for Milano.
