Italy: an amazing Milano stun Trento in advance of Round 9

Round 9 of 2022/23 SuperLega Credem Banca started with an upset: Allianz Milano make Itas Trentino to unexpectedly fall at home!
The guys around Roberto Piazza achieved a a well-deserved victory of great value on the road against the favorite rivals, and entered the court as an underdog against the European vice-champions. However, they basically suffered only in the second set.
Milano confirmed that they were going through a great period of form, while Trentino appeared not to be very continuous, recording the second successive setback in the league, which for now left them in the second position in the current standings in view of the remaining matches of the round.
Angelo Lorenzetti’s side have 16 points and 5-5, while Milano is now fourth with 5-4, joining the group of four sides with 14 points.

Iranian Milad Ebadipour top-scored Milano with 17 points, while setter Paolo Porro scored 4 aces.
Srećko Lisinac put down 17 points on the losing side and an impressive 81% in attack (13/16).
