Poland: ZAKSA celebrated 7th win in a row. Gdansk – Resovia 2-3

Round 14 of 2022/23 Plusliga ended today with last 2 games, and it seems that Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle are returning to champion form.

After suffering three defeats in the first seven matches of the competition, the reigning club champions of Poland and Europe set off a run of seven games without a single defeat.
GKS Katowice won the first set; however, in the following sets, ZAKSA proved their superiority and clinched the match with a score of 3-1 (25:18, 21:25, 15:25, 25:20)
The Kędzierzyn-Koźle side is again in pursuit of the top of PlusLiga, as they are currently fourth with a 11-3 score and 30 points, which is 7 points fewer than the leader Jastrzębski Węgiel (12-2).
Today, the winners were led by Aleksander Śliwka, who scored 19 points, while Ukrainian Dmytro Pashytskyy had as many as 7 blocks! Jakub Jarosz scored 22 points for Katowice.

In last game of Round 14 Asseco Resovia Rzeszów needed five sets to win on the field of Trefl Gdańsk – 2-3 (25:20, 23:25, 25:23, 19:25, 13:15). Maciej Muzaj was named MVP of the match with 20 points through 53% in attack and 42% efficiency.
