Challenge Cup: Olympiacos take the first step towards semifinals

2022/23 CEV Challenge Cup Quarterfinals started today with first first leg game.
Field advantage respected for Greece’s Olympiacos Piraeus who, after losing first sets, down at home Romania’s Steaua Bucuresti by 3-1 (23:25, 25:16, 25:16, 25:19) without other problems.
The winners made a great performance in blocking, with as many as 15 points from this element (against 8 of the rivals), but also in attack, with a good 53% and three players in double digit: Tonček Stern top scorer with 20 points including 3 winning blocks, 4 aces and 43% in attack, Salvador Hidalgo Oliva with 19 (4 aces too, 2 winning blocks and 50% in attack), and Alen Pajenk (4 aces also for him, 3 winning blocks and 80% in attack).
Matei Ciprian was the only player of Bucuresti in double digit with 19 points.
