France: Sète and Nantes close Round 23 with three points

Round 23 of 2022/23 Ligue A has been completed today without major upsets, and with both games ended in straight sets.

In the first one, Sète trampled over Paris in front of their home fans, partially 25:18, 25:15 and 25:23, in just one hour and 12 minutes, struggling only in third sets, in which the team from country’s capital failed to reopen the game.
US National Team member Kyle Russell was almost unstoppable for Sète, scoring 25 points through 60% in attack, all his team’s 4 aces, and 3 of Sète’s 11 winning blocks.
With this result the winners strengthened seventh place in the standings, -4 from Narbonne.

Straight sets win also for second-placed Nantes who, after a thrilling start in first set, easily won on the field of No.11 Toulouse. Partially it was 24:26, 20:25 and 20:25.
The winners will face leaders Tours (at +4) next Saturday in front of their home fans, in the big match of Round 24, at -3 Rounds from the end of regular season.
