Poland: ZAKSA down Jastrzębski in big match of last Round. Top 8 determined!

Last round of 2022/23 Plusliga, Round 30, continued today with other virdicts: if Asseco Resovia Rzeszów won regular season following yesterday’s win on the field of GKS Katowice, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie confirmed themselves to the second.

In fact, the direct rivals for second place, Jastrzębski Węgiel, suffered today a heavy defeat on the field of Champions League semifinalists Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle – 3-1 (23:25, 25:23, 25:22, 25:20). After winning first set, the hosts proved to be better and managed to win a game that is mean fourth place in the standings, now at +5 from pursuers Projekt Warszawa. The first set was played on a very high level, with Jastrzębski taking an early lead. However, Huber’s two great serves at 21-23 helped ZAKSA to level the score. Round 30 will continue tomorrow and it will be closed on Monday, but without rilevant games for the standings. About the others, in fact, we have Trefl Gdańsk at sixth place with 55 points, followed by Indykpol AZS Olsztyn with 51 and PSG Stal Nysa with 44.
