The 2023 CEV Women’s Champions League will make history as it features an all-Turkish final!
Eczacıbaşı Dynavit secured yesterday their place in the final after defeating Igor Gorgonzola Novara in a thrilling semifinal second leg winning the match 3-1 (25:22, 25:12, 25:21).
The final will take place in Turin, Italy, and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit will face the winners of the match between Fenerbahçe Opet and VakıfBank, scheduled today (Fenerbahçe won in straight sets first leg).
Eczacıbaşı Dynavit’s effective play allowed them to take the lead in the first set of the rematch, winning it 25-22, and they continued their dominance also in the second set, winning it 25-12 with a series of successful blocks.
Although the third set was very balanced, Eczacıbaşı managed to come out on top with a score of 25-21, winning the match 3-0 and securing their ticker for the final.
Tijana Boskovic was named MVP of the match with 21 points, while Irina Vorokova also contributed with 11.
