France: Narbonne defeat Tourcoing - Quarterfinal Series to Game 5! 2-2 also for Saint Nazaire and Chaumont

If regular season leaders and French Cup winners Tours and No.2 Nantes already claimed their tickets for semifinals in Game 3 against titleholders Montpellier and Sète, respectively, the other two clashes will be solved only on Wednesday, in decisive Game 5.

After 2-0 lead in Series collecting victories in both home games, No.3 Chaumont suffered the reaction of newcomers and No.6 in regular season Saint Nazaire, able to re-open the Series on Friday with a four sets win in front of their home fans, and even a straight sets win today, 25:21, 25:21, 25:23), without major problems and always keeping the control of the game.
Better in all elements of the game, the winners were led in score by Kyle Ensing, with 17 points to his name through 52% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block, and MVP Lourenço Martins, who also contributed with 12, 45% and 2 winning blocks.
Patrick Indra and Adrian Aciobanitei scored 15 and 10 points respectively for Chaumont, who will face the rivals again on Wednesday at 8pm local time, this time in their home court.

The other series was a little bit different. No.4 in regular season Narbonne managed to win Game 1 at home against No.5 Tourcoing, but then suffered an heavy defeat in just three sets in Game 2 and on Friday, Game 3 in Tourcoing has been solved at tie break, after a comeback from 2-0 that, however, was useless as the hosts won decisive fifth set with a clear 15-10 to take the lead in the series, 2-1.
And today a other exciting tie break. Narbonne won first set with the minimum gap, and Tourcoing did the same, in the second, and then they also the third, without major problems. This time Narbonne react and, after a bad start in fourth set and a double advantage of the hosts, they managed to win it, and also the decisive fifth set, 10-15, after 2 hours and 17 minutes of play. Partially it was 23:25, 25:23, 25:21, 22:25 and 10:15.
More incisive in attack, the winners were led in score by Jordi Ramon, top scorer of the game with 25 points through 39% in attack, 2 blocks and 5 of his team 6 aces, and MVP Willner Rivas, (24 points, 59% in attack and 1 block).
