Game 3 of best-of-five series…and we already know the name of both semifinalists in a remake of the up coming Champions League Final: Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Jastrzębski Węgiel!

The first, No.4 in regular season, after winning first two Games on the road, eliminated Plusliga leaders Asseco Resovia Rzeszów with an exciting five sets victory in front of their home fans (25:19, 19:25, 25:23, 26:28, 15:12), again with a great performance of Bartosz Bednorz, top scorer on the winning side with 24 points to his name through 61% in attack, including 3 aces and 2 blocks, while Dmytro Pashytskyy also contributed with 5 winning blocks (11 to 5 at end of the match). Maciej Muzaj and Torey Defalco were the most efficient players for Resovia, scoring 26 and 24 points respectively, but they weren’t enough as the home side was better on the decisive moments of the game.

Almost the same story for the other Champions League finalist and No.3 in regular season Jastrzębski Węgiel, who close the series with No.2 Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in Game 3, but with a clear 3-0 (25:13, 25:17, 25:21) home win against a very disappointing rivals, still without Uros Kovacevic and with only 14% efficiency in attack.
Stephen Boyer was the most efficient player of the match with 22 points through 69% in attack, 3 winning blocks and as many as 8 aces, and in fact the performance from the service line was determinant: 12 aces in just three sets to 4.

Final best-of-five will start on Wednesday, May 3 on the field of Jastrzębski Węgiel, will continue on Saturday May 6 on the field of ZAKSA and on Wednesday again on the field of Jastrzębski.
