Italy: Trento defeat Civitanova in four sets in Game 1 of Final

In a BLM Group Arena in Trento absolutely sold out, Game 1 of 2022/23 Superlega CredemBanca Final give to all volleyball fans a great show, with three sets played point-to-point, in a battle that, eventually, rewarded the hosts oglf Itas Trentino, who defeated defending champions Cucine Lube Civitanova in four sets (25:23, 23:25, 25:23, 25:17).

It was a great game the one played by the players around head coach Angelo Lorenzetti, led by immortal Matey Kaziyski, deservedly named MVP of the match with 22 points through 51% in attack, tre winning blocks and 1 ace, two more points compared to young Aleksandar Nikolov, the most prolific player on the other side of the net.
The only discordant note for Trento was the injury of middle blocker Lisinac, forced to leave the court at the start of the second set due to a problem in his back.
Either way the hosts forced from
the service line from the very beginning of the match, and this is the element in which the rivals suffered the most (42 negative, with only 38% of team performance in attack).

Stored the first act, now the series move to Civitanova, where Game 2 will be played on Thursday May 4 at 8.30pm local time.
