Poland: Aluron down Resovia at tie break in Game 1 for 3rd Place

The interesting final for 3rd Place of 2022/23 Plusliga between regular season leaders Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and No.2 Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, eliminated from the run for the title both in Game 3 of best-of-five semifinals against Champions League finalists ZAKSA and Jastrzebski, respectively, started today with an exciting tie break win of Aluron (22:25, 27:25, 18:25, 25:21, 9:15).
The winners could count again on a recovered Uros Kovacevic, top scorer of the match with 24 points to his name through 55% in attack and 1 block, while Dawid Konarski also contributed with 23 (56% in attack and 3 blocks), the same number of points of the most prolific player among the hosts Torey Defalco.
Game 2 on Saturday on the field of today’s winners.
