2 min read

It will be a France without major big names the one who will start the first step of Volleyball Nations League 2023 scheduled from 7 to 11 June in Nagoya (Japan), against Poland, China, Slovenia and the hosts Japan.
Head coach Andrea Giani had to deal with injuries of Ibrahim Lawani, microfracture on his foot, and tue one of MoussƩ Gueye, out for an ankle problem.

Our goal is to qualify for the Final Eight in Poland, but for me it’s just as important to give young players a chance. Last season’s experience shows us that it’s important for starters to have significant rest time after their season of clubs, knowing that the main objective of the year is the European Championships. This period will allow the youngest to express themselves, to discover the international context and to raise their level of play. We need to prepare this new generation and, at the same time, find its identity: I want us to play every match to 100% of our potential,” he said, also ensuring that the group will be complete for the home Pool of OrlĆ©ans (20/25 June), although the conditions of Benjamin Toniutti, Earvin Ngapeth and Nicolas Le Goff, who need a little more time to recover.

This is the list:
Setters: Raphael Corre, Kellian Motta Paes.
Opposite: ThƩo Faure.
Middle blockers: Quentin Jouffroy, Simon Roehrig, Daryl Bultor, MƩdƩric Henry.
Outside hitters: KƩvin Tillie, Antoine Pothron, Luka Basic, TimothƩe Carle, Hilir Henno.
Liberos: Luca Ramon, Benjamin Diez.
