European Golden League: tie break win for Romania and Finland in the last games of Round 3. First defeat for Türkiye

Round 3 of European Golden League has been completed today with last two games.
In front of as many as 12.000 home fans, Türkiye suffered first defeat, losing against Romania at tie break. Partially it was 25:14, 21:25, 25:20, 22:25 and 12:15.
Although the hosts were better in blocking (10 to 7) and in serving (11 to 5), and despite the 21 points of top scorer Adis Lagumdzija (including 6 aces), Romania managed to solve the game 12-15 in fifth set, led in score by vice-champion of France with Chaumont Adrian Aciobanitei with 20 points, and Alexandru Rata, who also contributed with 18.
Tie break also in Pool C, in which hosts Finland defeated still winless Slovakia (24:26, 25:17, 25:17, 20:25, 19:17) after 126 minutes of play, led by Jonas Jokela, who ended the game with an impressive amount of 30 points including 3 of his team’s 11 winning blocks.
Patrik Lamanec scored 27 on the losing side.
