VNL 2023: Poland defeat France in fourth match in Nagoya

Second day of 2023 Volleyball Nations League continued in European morning with the victory of Poland over France, with the score of 3-1 (25:23, 18:25, 35:33, 25:15) in Pool 2 in Nagoya, Japan.
MVP Karol Butryn with 25 points, including a winning block and 4 aces.
On the other side of the net the 28 points scored by a very good Faure were not enough. Together with Tillie (12), they were the only two players in double digits on Andrea Giani’s side.
“We expected a tough game against France as always and we were ready for it,” said Kamil Semeniuk after the match.
“Obviously, we are so happy to win our first game of the tournament. There is always some nervousness around the first game, especially for the new guys on the national team, and I’m so proud that we won the game. To be honest, I didn’t play so well today, but for me the important thing was that we won the game and took the three points. My game was OK. Next game will be better…”
