VNL 2023: USA defeat The Netherlands in straight sets in Pool 1

In the European night, USA defeat The Netherlands with a clear 3-0 (25:19, 25:23, 25:21) in Pool 1 in Ottawa, Canada, after 1 hours and 19 minutes of play. The 24 points of bomber Nimir Abdel-Aziz (more than all his teammates combined!), absolute top scorer of the match, were not enough, as, basically, he played alone for The Netherlands! Behind him Fabian Plak and Marteen Van Garderen with 5 points each!
On the other hand, four players in double digit for USA: Torey Defalco,top scorer with 13 points (including three aces), Jake Harnes, with 12, Kyle Russell who also contributed with 11 points and David Smith, with 10.
