USA – World record for a women’s sporting event: 92,003 spectators at Volleyball Day!

The University of Nebraska has set the world record for attendance at a women’s sporting event.
The historic US university has in fact organized Volleyball Day by welcoming 92,003 spectators inside the Memorial Stadium, a facility usually dedicated to football.
A large number that surpassed the previous world record of 91,648 held by Barcelona, which in April 2022 boasted 91,648 spectators to the Camp Nou to watch the UEFA Champions League match between Blaugrana and Wolfsburg.
