Iran Head Coach Behrouz Ataei resigns due disappointing Olympic Games Qualifiers

Following a series of disappointing results in the 2024 Olympic qualifiers, Iran’s volleyball national team head coach Behrouz Ataei announced his resignation.

Iran, under his command, faced defeats against Germany, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic, managing to secure a win only against Qatar in Pool A in Brazil.
However, It’s noteworthy that under Behrouz Ataei’s leadership, Iran clinched the gold medal in both the 2021 Asian Championship and the 2022 Asian Games, and silver in Asian Championship 2023.

Alireza Toloukian, his assistant, will step in as new coach.
