Poland: Jastrzębski Węgiel dominates Stal Nysa in PlusLiga Opener! 3 points also for Lublin

The reigning Polish champions Jastrzębski Węgiel started the new season of PlusLiga in a perfect way defeating the host team Stal Nysa in straight sets – 0-3 (19:25, 28:30, 22:25).
However, it was not easy, especially in the second set, which saw a hard-fought battle with the hosts giving titleholders quite a challenge.
Either way there have been significant changes in the lineup of Jastrzębski, because as many as eight players departed, including the two Frenchmen Stephen Boyer and Trevor Clevenot, but theyrecruited another fellow countrymen, Jean Patry, the starting opposite in French national team, today author of 16 points through 50% in attack, and Croatian outside hitter Marko Sedlacek (not a good day today, as he ended the game with only 3 points – 2 aces and 1 block – and -17% in attack).
MVP and top scorer of the match was Norbert Huber, author of a remarkable 18 points through 75% in attack, 67% efficiency, as many as 7 winning blocks and 2 aces.
In the evening, after a thrilling first set ended overtime, BOGDANKA LUK Lublin had no problem against Enea Czarni Radom, celebrating a 3-0 (26:24, 25:17, 25:19) too.
MVP of the game Jan Nowakowski, who had 9 points to his name through 86% in attack (6/7) and also added 3 winning blocks.
Tobias Brand and Mateusz Malinowski also contributed with 13 and 12 points each, while the top scorer of the match was a player of Czarni Radom, serbian opposite Nikola Meljanac, with 14 points all in attack.
