Champions League: second day of first win Round. Victories for Olimpiacos and Galati

First Round of 2023/24 CEV Champions League continued today with other two games.
In first one, played in Serbia’s Aleksandar Nikolić Hall in Beograd, predictions respected as Greece’s Olimpiacos Piraeus defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina’s OK Radnik Bijeljina (BIH) by 3-1 (25:10, 25:18, 18:25, 25:21). After dominating first two sets, the rivals prevailed in third one, but then they collapsed again in decisive fourth, despite the good performace of top scorer Nemanja Jelic, 16 points and 60% in attack.
Slovenia National Team member Alen Pajenk top-scored the winners with 14 points, 58% in attack, 2 blocks and 4 of his team’s 10 aces, while Gustavo Guazzetti Bonatto also contributed with 5 winning blocks.
In the evening, in Spain’s Centro Insular de Deportes in Las Palmas, Romania’s C.S. Arcada Galati down Mladost Zagreb from Croatia by 1-3 (17:25, 23:25, 25:17, 9:15) with 16 points from Theo Lopes and 15 from Roland Gergye.
