Champions League: what happened today in Pool I and III

With Pool II and IV ended yesterday, and the consequent four teams qualified to the next stage, first Round of 2023/24 CEV Champions League continued today with the other two Pools.
In Pool I at Sports Hall Mladost in Burgas, Bulgaria, Hungary’s Fino Kaposvar down Budva from Montenegro with the score of 1-3 (18:25, 28:26, 18:25, 14:25). Interestingly, the only player in double digit among the winners was Arpad Baroti, who scored as many as 31 points through 61% in attack and 4 blocks!
Victory also for pool hosts Neftohimik Burgas, who literally destroyed Ok Strumica from North Macedonia with a clear 3-0 (25:13, 25:11, 25:15).
In Pool IV at Universitätssporthalle Innsbruck, Austria, Ford Levoranta Sastamala from Finland down The Netherlands’ Draisma Dynamo Apeldoorn in straight sets (25:19, 30:28, 25:22), while Ukraine’s SC Prometey Dnipro defeated Pool hosts Hypo Tirol Innsbruck by 1-3 (23:25, 32:30, 23:25, 22:25).
