Champions League: second round starts today! All results

Second Round of 2023/24 CEV Champions League started today with Pool V and Pool VI and without major upsets.
In SC Master Zemun, Serbia, both games played today ended in straight sets. In the first one, all easy for Spain’s Guaguas Las Palmas, who sweep Montenegro’s Budva in just 77 minutes of play, partially 17:25, 18:25 and 22:25.
The same did Champions of Austria Hypo Tirol Volleyball Team, who literally destroyed the hosts Partizan Beograd in 73 minutes (14:25, 21:25, 12:25), with 14 winning blocks, 7 aces and 13 points from top scorer Arthur Nath (60% in attack, 3 blocks and 1 ace).
In Sports Hall in Galati, Romania, straight sets win also for the hosts C.S. Arcada Galati over Ukraine’s SC “Prometey” DNIPRO, 3-0 (25:15, 25:21, 25:14) while, on the same Pool, Greece’s Olympiacos Piraeus down Neftohimik Burgas from Bulgaria after a hard-fought game ended 3-1 (25:20, 27:29, 25:17, 26:24).
To make the difference the performance from the service line (12 aces to 1) and in blocking (11 to 6).
Both Pools continued tomorrow and will be ended on Sunday.
