CEV Cup: here are the first teams who progress to Round of 16!

Second leg of 16th Finals of 2023/24 CEV Cup continued today with other games and serveral other teams qualified to the next stage of competition.
The first one is ČEZ Karlovarsko from Czech Republic, who today easily defeated Finland’s Ford Levoranta Sastamala by 3-0 (25:18, 25:21, 25:23), followed by Ukraine’s SC “Prometey” Dnipro, who eliminated The Netherlands’ Nova Tech Lycurgus Groningen, fellow countrymen Draisma Dynamo Apeldoorn who easily won again vs. Montenegro’s Budva, 3-0 (25:20, 25:18, 25:18).
Straight sets win and qualification to Round of 16 also for Spain’s Río Duero Soria, who surprisingly eliminated one popular name in European volleyball, OK Vojvodina Novi Sad from Serbia, 3-0 (25:21, 25:23, 25:16).
Another team from Czech Republic is qualified, Kladno Volejbal CZ, after winning on the field of OK Radnik Bijeljina, from Bosnia.
Nothing to do for Austria’s SK Zadruga Aich/Dob who, despite a 3-2 hard-fought win against Greece’s AONS Milon NEA Smyrni Athens, lost the chance to qualify.
In Turkey, Fenerbahçe PRL Istanbul eliminated Austria’s Hypo Tirol Innsbruck by winning the game 3-1 (32:34, 28:26, 25:19, 25:19), while Poland’s Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie is also qualified despite a 3-2 (13:25, 25:27, 26:24, 25:17, 15:13) defeat in Bulgaria, on the field of Hebar Pazardzhik.
The other teams qualified are Romania’s SCM Craiova, who eliminated Serbia’s Radnicki Kragujevac, Switzerland’s Chenôis Geneve after down Hungary’s Fino Kaposvar, Nantes Rezé Métropole who, in French derby, defeated Chaumont VB 52, Italy’s Allianz Milano, who eliminated Belgium’s Decospan VT Menen, and Serbia’s Partizan Beograd who, after a 1-3 (25:19, 22:25, 23:25, 20:25) and a Golden Set ended with the minimum gap, eliminated Volley Haasrode Leuven VZW.
