Austria: Round 10 is over. Waldviertel defeats leaders Hartberg, Aich/Dob and Ried ok. HYPO TIROL remain the last team unbeaten!

Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel defeated today current leaders TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg in the big match of the Round 10 of Powerfusion Volley League round celebrating a 3-2 (25:23, 20:25, 19:25, 25:20, 15:12) away win. The Styrians are now only one point ahead of champions HYPO TIROL volleyball team and today’s winners!
However, Waldviertel has played one more game than Hartberg, and two games more than the defending champions. Krzysztof Gulak scored 23 points for the winners with 62%, and the same did Dmytro Fedorenko on the other side of the net (44%).
HYPO TIROL celebrated their eighth win on the field of VCA Amstetten Nà and remain the only one undefeated team. Today they beat the second-to-last team in the Johann-Pölz-Halle 3-0 (25:18, 25:19, 25:18).
This week, sports director Michael Henschke took over his team’s head coach position from Tomas Galimberti, who had to resign after seven defeats in the first half of the season. The top scorers of the day were Luan Weber (18) and Nicolai GrabmĂŒller (8) for the winners, and Ignacy Derejczyk (11) and Samuel Jackman (10) for Amstetten, who today played without Maximilian Schober.
SK Zadruga Aich/Dob continued their race after a weak start to the season.
In the first game with new-head coach Lucio Oro, they won against UVC Holding Graz 3-1 (25:12, 25:23, 19:25, 25:23) in their Bleiburg’s JUFA Arena.
It was the runner-up’s fifth victory in a row, and they are now only one point behind fourth-placed Graz, who, however, have played one game less. Top scorers of the day were Kristof Horvath (20), Angelos Mandilaris and Bryan Camino Martinez with 15 each for the winners, and Arwin Kopschar (17) and Benedikt Sablatnig (13) for Graz.
UVC McDonald’s Ried continue to follow Aich/Dob, beating TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien 3-1 in their Raiffeisen Volleydome (25:20, 25:17, 21:25, 27:25) to consolidate sixth place.
Top scorers of the day were a great Tomasz Rutecki, who ended the match with 28 points and 53% in attack, and Borys Zhukov, who added 22 (62% in attack) for the winners, while Tobias Ofner (16) and Boris Nikolic (15) were the most prolific players on the losing side.
