1 min read

In a move that completes a full circle in his remarkable career, Cédric Enard, the current coach of Croatian men’s national team, has been appointed as the general manager of French Ligue A team Alterna Stade Poitevin Poitiers.

Born in Vouillé, Vienne, he has had an illustrious journey in the world of volleyball.
He began his career at the same Stade Poitevin, contributing to the club’s first French championship win in 1999, but his playing career, unfortunately, ended prematurely due to a medical condition.
However, this led him to a successful coaching stint that saw him achieve remarkable results with several clubs and national teams and lot of achievements, including multiple championships and cups.
His career at the helm of Germany’s side Berlin was particularly successful, with the team winning numerous trophies under his command.
He also served as an assistant coach for the French national team, contributing to their Nations League victory, but he was also head coach of Estonia and now is still at the helm of the Croatian men’s national team.

The general manager role at Alterna Stade Poitevin is newly created, aimed at reinforcing the club’s structure and reviving its glorious past.
The appointment marks a new chapter for both Enard and the French club, as they aim to reach new successes in the volleyball world.
