Itas Trentino close the year with another win, the 11th in 12 games played. Defending champions, in front of their home fans, confirmed their unbeaten run on their home court silencing Cisterna Volley with a clear 3-0 (25:19, 25:20, 25:20), despite the efforts of the rivals, led by a very good Theo Faure (top scorer with 20 points to his name), before collapsing under the blow of the hosts led by Alessandro Michieletto (17), MVP Kamil Rychlicki and Giulio Magalini, who replaced Michieletto himself at the end of the match.
At -3 from the leaders Sir Susa Vim Perugia, who won with the same result on the field of a good Farmitalia Catania – 0-3 (20:25, 24:26, 19:25). The hosts fought, but it wasn’t enough and eventually collapsed in front of a great reception of the winners (61% to 41%), attack (55% to 48%) and, above all, in blocking (12 to 5).
Perugia dominated first and third set, while in the second one they had to recover after a slow start. Four players on the winning side closed the game in double digit: 13 points for MVP Oleh Plotnytskyi (61% in attack), and 13 also for an excellent Roberto Russo (67% in attack and as many as 7 winning blocks), 12 for Kamil Semeniuk and 10 for Herrera, but good also Sebastian Solè with 8 points to his name through 75% in attack and 2 winning blocks.
Closed this 2023, now Sir Susa Vim Perugia will face on Thursday January 4 at their PalaBarton Valsa Group Modena in last Italian Cup Quarterfinal!
