Austria: Hypo Tirol destroy Aich/Dob in the opener of Round 13

After Christmas break, 2023/24 Powerfusion Austrian Volley League is back today with first game of 2024.
Defending champions HYPO TIROL volleyball team started the new year with a home win against SK Zadruga Aich/Dob, 3-0 (25:20, 25:17, 27:25). Top scorers of the exciting duel, especially in the third set, were Arthur Nath (14), Luan Weber, Niklas Kronthaler and Mihkel Varblane (8 each) for the winners, and Bryan Camino Martinez (10), Miguel Baioa Sinfonio (8) and Kristof Horvath (7) for Aich/Dob.
HYPO TIROL is still unbeaten in the league, while today’s rivals suffered their defeat after seven wins in a row. Titleholders now are five points ahead of TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, but they have played one less game and will host the same Aich/Dob next Saturday.
The next match is scheduled on Wednesday evening in Zwettl, and it will be the Lower Austria derby between Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel (3rd) and VCA Amstetten NÖ (8th).
