Poland: 3 points for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and LUK Lublin on Sunday’s games of Round 15

Round 15 of 2023/24 Plusliga continued today with other 3 games.
In the first one, No.3 Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie literally destroyed PSG Stal Nysa in a clean 3-0 (25:14, 25:17, 25:16), led by top scorer and MVP Karol Butryn, who ended the match with 17 points through 62% in attack, 1 block and as many as 8 of his team’s 11 aces! Trevor Clevenot also contributed with 10 points, while non players had a double digit on the other side of the net.
With this win, Aluron consolidated third place in the standings now at -2 from Projekt Warszawa and -3 from leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel, who who yesterday down Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle by 1-3.

Ślepsk Malow Suwałki needed four sets to beat Indykpol AZS Olsztyn (25:23, 27:25, 18:25, 26:24) in a hard-fought match lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes. Bartosz Filipiak with 27 points to his name through 59% in attack, 1 block and 2 aces was named MVP of the game, well supported by Paweł Halaba who also contributed with 19 through 64% in attack and 3 aces. Mortiz Karlitzek and Alan Souza scored 24 and 20 points for the losing side, but they weren’t enough.
BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, in the game that closed the volleyball Sunday, defeated GKS Katowice in straight sets (25:23, 25:22, 25:22), putting into an end their winning streak consisting in three games.
MVP and top scorer of the game Damian Schultz with 18 points including 1 ace and 1 block with 64% in attack.
Round 15 will close tomorrow with the interesting and decisive clash between second-to-last KGHM Cuprum Lubin and last-placed Enea Czarni Radom.
