Italy: all results of Round 14 – Modena back to the win! 3 points for Trento, Perugia, Milano and Piacenza. 2 for Taranto

All games of 2023/24 Superlega CredemBanca Round 14 or, if you prefer, Round 3 of second leg were played today without major changes in the standings.
The day started with the four sets win of Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza over newcomers and last-placed Farmitalia Catania – 1-3 (21:25, 25:23, 17:25, 23:25), in what was the sixth away win for the team
coached by Andrea Anastasi!
In a not easy game, Francesco Recine was named MVP of the game with 20 points to his name, while Simon closed the game with 86% in attack, and Brizard with 5 blocks, an element in which Piacenza made the difference, scoring 11 points from this element compared to only 1 of the hosts.
3 points also for Allianz Milano in the second game played today, after beating Cisterna Volley 3-0 (25:22, 25:17, 25:23). Despite the result, the game was very balanced and the winners made the difference above all in attack, with 61% of team performance, and from the service line, with 7 aces.

In a roller-coaster match, Valsa Group Modena, after four straight sets defeats in a row, almost wasted a 0-2 led on the field of Mint Vero Volley Monza but eventually managed to close the game at tie break, 2-3 (18:25, 20:25, 25:18, 25:23, 13:15). Setter Bruno Rezende was named MVP of the match, steering his team to a hard-fought win. Vlad Davyskiba and Maksim Sapozhkov were the most prolific players on the winning side with 23 and 20 points respectively, while Arthur Szwarc tallied 26 for the hosts.
