Polish Cup: Warszawa and Lublin to semifinals. Resovia out!

First two games of 2023/24 TAURON Pucharu Polski Quarterfinals, Polish Cup, were played today.
Predictions respected in the match between CUK Anioły Toruń and Projekt Warszawa, ended in straight sets in favor of Plusliga side, 0-3 (14:25, 18:25, 12:25)
For the team from country’s capital four players in double digit: MVP Arthur Szalpuk with 11, Igor Grobelny, Yurii Semeniuk and Bartłomiej Bołądź who added 10 each.
The winners now are waiting for the winners between CM Soleus Klub Sportowy Rudziniec and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.
In the second match of the day, Bogdanka LUK Lublin surprisingly eliminated Asseco Resovia Rzeszow by winning the game in four sets, 1-3 (22:25, 23:25, 25:14, 19:25), and in semifinal will face the winner between Jastrzębski Węgiel and Trefl Gdańsk.
For the hosts, Stephen Boyer’s 20 points (17/29 in attack through 59%), 19 from Torey Defalco (43% in attack and 3 winning blocks) were not enough, as the winners took advantage from as many as 27 errors of Resovia.
Alexandre Ferreira, MVP of the match, scored 17 points through 65% in attack.
