Polish Cup: predictions respected – also Jastrzębski Węgiel and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie to semifinals!

After Projekt Warszawa and Bogdanka LUK Lublin , we know the other two teams qualified to the final four of TAURON Pucharu Polski, 2023/24 Polish Cup.
In first game of the day, Plusliga leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel easily defeated Trefl Gdańsk in just three sets, partially 25:20, 25:20 and 25:21, with 13 winning blocks (only 1 for the rivals) and setter Benjamin Toniutti able to send 4 of his players in double digit: Tomasz Fornal and Rafał Szymura with 13 points each, Jean Patry and Norbert Huber who added 12 apiece (6 winning blocks for the middle blocker).
On the other side of net, Trefl Gdańsk’s leading scorer was Mikołaj Sawicki with 14 points to his name, while Aliaksei Nasewicz added 11 points.
Win also for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie who, with the only exception of second set, won without major problems on the field of CM Soleus Klub Sportowy Rudziniec with the score of 1-3 (15:25, 26:24, 16:25, 15:25) with 19 points from top scorer and MVP Trevor Clevenot (56% in attack, 3 of his team’s 13 winning blocks and 3 aces).
