Polish Cup: 2024 Trophy to Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie! Plusliga leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel defeated in four sets in Final

In exciting final of 2023/24 TAURON Pucharu Polski, Polish Cup, held in a very hot Tauron Arena in Kraków, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, currently at second place in Plusliga defeated leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel with the score of 1-3 (22:25, 25:20, 21:25, 20:25) to lift the prestigious trophy in front of almost 14.000 volleyball fans!
Leading the charge for the winners were Bartosz Kwolek with 16 points, Trevor Clevenot who contributed with 14, followed by Miłosz Zniszczoł with 13 and Mateusz Bieniek and Karol Butryn, who added 11 each.
On the losing side, top performers were Jean Patry, who scored a match-high 20 points, Tomasz Fornal with 15, and both Norbert Huber and Rafał Szymura showed their efforts with 10 points each.
This victory marks a historic achievement for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, who had previously made it to the final tournament three times without clinching the title. For Jastrzębski Węgiel, this final represented their eighth Polish Cup final defeat, highlighting the team’s persistent challenge in securing the prestigious trophy since their only win in 2010.
