Austria: Aich/Dob defeats HYPO TIROL in Game 1 of semifinals!

The winner of Game 1 of Powerfusion VL Men semi-final duel is SK Zadruga Aich/Dob! The Austrian Volley Cup champions defeated defending champions and regular season HYPO TIROL volleyball team by 3-2 (25:27, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21, 15:13) in their JUFA Arena Bleiburg on Thursday evening and inflicted to the rivals their first defeat in this season!
The winners played showed an excellent service, and top scorers after 154 minutes of a game played at a very high level were Bryan Camino Martinez (24), Angelos Mandilaris (17) and Kristof Horvath (16) for the winners, and Luan Weber (22), Arthur Nath (18) and Niklas Kronthaler (15) for the Innsbruck side.
Next Wednesday, HYPO TIROL will have home advantage for the first time in the semi-finals, and on Thursday the start of the second “Best-of-5” series between TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg and Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel will start too.
