MEVZA League: 2023/24 title to Calcit Kamnik! Maribor defeated in four sets. Bronze to Aich/Dob

The culmination of the 2023/24 MEVZA League tournament this weekend brought a thrilling final match in which OK Calcit Kamnik emerged victorious, seizing gold medal after a 3-1 (25:17, 25:17, 23:25, 25:15) win in all-Slovenian clash against OK i-Vent Maribor.
The winners played a great performance, with 14 winning winning blocks (5 for Kamnik) and 26 points from absolute top scorer Lazaro Brunet Llanes, including 2 aces, 4 blocks and 51% in attack.
In the fight for the bronze medal, the hosts SK Zadruga Aich/Dob faced Slovakia’s TJ Spartak Myjava and, in a commanding display of skill and determination, the Austrian side emerged victorious with a convincing 3-0 win. The sets concluded at 25:23, 25:23, and 25:19, underscoring their dominance on the court and securing a well-deserved place on the podium.
