Poland: Jastrzębski Węgiel take first step towards 2023/24 title! Aluron defeated in just three sets

In the opening match of 2023/24 PlusLiga playoff final, regular season winners Jastrzębski Węgiel defeated No.2 Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie with a 0-3 (18:25, 25:27, 23:25) sweep.
Middle blocker Jurij Gladyr, VP of the game, led his team with an outstanding performance consisting of 9 points, including 4 blocks and 100% in attack (5/5) and, despite closely contested sets, the winners dominated with 14 winning blocks (only 4 for the hosts). In a post-match statement, he hinted at his departure from the team at the season’s end.
Decisive Game 2 is scheduled on Saturday, starting from 6pm local time.
