Qatar wins 2024 AVC Challenge Cup and qualifies for FIVB Challenger Cup in July

Qatar triumphed at the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup held in Bahrain securing their place in the FIVB Challenger Cup in Linyi, China, scheduled from July 4 to 7, an event that is the final qualifier for the Volleyball Nations League 2025.
With this victory, the National Team of Qatar reaffirms its position at the top of Asian volleyball, currently ranked 21st by the FIVB.
In quarterfinals, they defeated China in straight sets and, in semifinals, they convincingly eliminated Kazakhstan after a game ended in four sets, struggling only in the second one, partially 25:16, 19:25, 25:19 and 25:16.
Pakistan, defeated by Qatar themselves in Final with the score of 3-0 (25:22, 25:20 and 25:19), also collected a significant result by defeating South Korea in the semifinals after a hard fought game ended in four sets, marking a notable advancement in their ambitions to join Asia’s top teams.
