Poland: Round 6 continues – Lublin stay unbeaten, Aluron defeat Częstochowa, Gorzów wins a thriller against Stal Nysa

Waiting for the game that will close Round 6 between newcomers Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin and Trefl Gdańsk, two sides both with 6 points in the standings, 2024/25 Plusliga continued today with other 3 games.
Bogdanka LUK Lublin continued their winning streak by defeating MKS Ślepsk Malow Suwałki 3-1 (25:18, 25:20, 24:26, 25:20) to remain unbeaten, led by top scorer Wilfredo Leon, who left the court with 23 points to his name through 48% in attack, 2 winning blocks and 6 of his team’s 9 aces, well supported by MVP Kewin Sasak with 20 (1 ace, 3 winning blocks and 47% in attack) and Bennie Tuinstra, who added 16 through 60% in attack and 1 block.
On the losing side, Bartosz Filipiak scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie secured a straight-set victory over Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa, winning 3-0 (25:21, 30:28, 25:15), led by Karol Butryn, top scorer with 23 points to his name including 1 ace and an impressive 71% in attack, Patryk Łaba who added 11, and Aaron Russell with 10, while setter Miguel Tavares was named MVP of the match. On the losing side, Patrik Indra scored 15 points and Milad Ebadipour added 13.
In the evening, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów defeated PSG Stal Nysa in five-set thriller, 2-3 (25:19, 14:25, 25:22, 23:25, 13:15).
Michał Gierżot, top scorer of the match, led the hosts with 23 points, while Dawid Dulski added 16. Among the winners, the most prolific players were Chizoba Neves Atu and Robert Täht, both scoring 21 points, with the second one earning MVP honors with 83% in attack and 1 block.
