Slovenian defending champions ACH Volley Ljubljana have made a significant addition to their roster, signing veteran Finnish setter Mikko Esko.
The 46-year-old player brings over 20 years of experience from top European leagues including Germany, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Turkey, and, of course, his Finland.
His arrival aims to strengthen the team as they prepare for the 2024/2025 CEV Champions League, where they’ll face VC Greenyard Maaseik, Berlin Recycling Volleys, and PGE Projekt Warszawa in their Pool.
ACH Volley coach Matjaž Hafner praised his experience, expecting him to elevate the team’s performance, especially in European competitions.
In their latest match, ACH Volley destroyed Panvita Pomgrad with a clear 3-0 (25:13, 25:18, 25:20), securing their third win in a row of 2024/25 season.
