Italy: Piacenza down Taranto in advance of Round 4

Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza continues their winning streak with a 3-1 triumph over Gioiella Prisma Taranto in the advance of Round 4 of 2024/25 SuperLega Credem Banca.
Despite dropping the first set 29-31, Piacenza bounced back to take the next three (25:23, 25:21, 25:18) against a very combative rivals.
Yuri Romanò led the winners with 19 points to his name, while Uros Kovacevic, MVP of the match, and Efe Mandiraci added 18 points each.
Taranto put up a strong fight but the hosts, with five players scoring in double digit, including the two middle blockers Robertlandy Simon and Gianluca Galassi, with 11 and 12
points respectively, proved to be decisive.
Tomorrow the other, including A22 derby between Itas Trentino and Valsa Group Modena and the derby between Vero Volley Monza and Allianz Milano.
