France: Round 5 is over – 3 points for Tourcoing and Toulouse. Epic comeback for Sète in Paris!

Round 5 of 2024/25 Marmara Spike League has been completed today with last three scheduled games.
Toulouse celebrated a 3-1 (25:20, 25:13, 17:25, 25:21) home success against still winless Plessis Robinson, led in score by Maxime Hervoir, top scorer of the match with 16 points to his name through 50% in attack and 2 winning blocks.
After a great start in the season and even temporary first place in the standings, and after the straight sets defeat collected last Sunday, another defeat for Poitiers, this time in front of their home fans against a very good Tourcoing, 1-3 (20:25, 25:21, 18:25, 23:25), in what was a direct clash for second place in the standings, despite 24 points from Olympic Gold medalist Earvin Ngapeth, top scorer of the match with 24 points to his name through 54% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block.
Tourcoing is now second at -1 from current leaders Montpellier, with 13 points. Pablo Koukartsev and Ignacio Luengas led the winners with 18 and 16 points respectively.
Close the picture the third success in a row for Sète, this time on the field of Paris, and after being down 2-0 and an epic comeback against the team from country’s capital.
2-3 is the final result, partially 25:22, 28:26, 22:25, 25:27 and 13:15, after 2 hours and 22 minutes of play. Nik Mujanovic in Paris’ jersey and Sète’s Tristan Schienger were the most prolific players of the match, with the second one also named MVP of the match for second time a row with a great 68% in attack and 1 winning block, while Hugo De Leon Guimarães also contributed with 22.
