Poland: Ślepsk Malow Suwałki down PSG Stal Nysa in advance of Round 9

Round 9 of 2924/25 Plusliga started today with the advance between Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and PSG Stal Nysa, ended with the score of 3-1 (18:25, 25:20, 25:21, 25:12) in favor of the home team.
Stal Nysa started strong, taking the first set, but the rivals quickly regained control from the second set onward to secure a full set of points, with great performance above all in blocking (13 to 7) and from the service line (12 to 5).
Top scorers for the winners were Bartosz Filipiak with 21 points, while MVP Paweł Halaba (3 aces and 5 winning blocks) and Henrique Honorato with 15 points each.
On the other side of the net, Dawid Dulski scored 20 points, followed by Kamil Kosiba with 14 and Zouheir El Graoui with 10.
Round 9 will continue tomorrow with the big match between PGE Projekt Warszawa, at third place in the current standings with 20 points, and BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, who share the top of the standings with defending champions Jastrzębski Węgiel. Both sides have 22 points, with the latter out in the field of PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów on Monday.
