Poland: Jastrzębski Węgiel to the top! 3 points also for Cuprum Stilon Gorzów on Monday games of Round 9

Round 9 of 2024/25 Plusliga, started on Friday, continued today with other two games.
After success of PGE Projekt Warszawa over BOGDANKA LUK Lublin on Saturday and consequent temporary first place in the standings for team from country’s capital, defending champions Jastrzębski Węgiel regained the leadership with a 1-3 (19:25, 26:24, 16:25, 21:25) victory on the field of PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów, showing superiority in all elements, including in blocking (10 to 5), serving (9 aces to 4) and attack (55% team efficiency to 42%).
MVP Tomasz Fornal was the most prolific player for the winners with 17 points tovhis name through 61% in attack, 2 aces and 1 block, but double digit also for Luciano Vicentin, who also contributed with 16, Lukasz Kaczmarek who added 15 and Norbert Huber, with 12, 70% in attack and 5 winning blocks.
Amin Esmaelinezhad scored 22 for the home team, but he wasn’t enough.
Four sets win also for Cuprum Stilon Gorzów who defeated at home Barkom Każany Lwów with the score of 3-1 (25:20, 20:25, 26:24, 25:17).
After more than 2 hours of play, MVP Neves Atu Chizoba left the court with 26 points to his name through 51% in attack and 5 of his team’s 9 aces.
Round 9 will close tomorrow with the game between ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin.
