Poland: Round 13 continues – 3 points for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and Jastrzębski Węgiel. 2 for Ślepsk Malow Suwałki

Round 13 of 2024/24 Plusliga continued today with other 3 games.
The day started with a thrilling five sets success of Ślepsk Malow Suwałki over most-quoted Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, 3-2 (21:25, 25:13, 19:25, 25:18, 16:14), in a game that has been solved only at 16-14 of decisive fifth set.
In a game with lot of ups and downs in both sides, Henrique Onorato led his team with 22 points to his name through 55% in attack, 2 winning blocks and 4 of the winners’ 13 aces.
The other two celebrated straight sets wins without major problems. Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie down newcomers Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin on the road with a clean 0-3 (21:25, 23:25, 19:25), with 63% of team performance in attack and 14 points each from Aaron Russell (65% in attack and 1 block) and MVP Karol Butryn (63% in attack, 3 aces and 1 block). Double digit also for a perfect Mateusz Bieniek, who also contributed with 11 points, 1 block and 100% in attack (10/10), and Bartosz Kwolek, who added 10 through 60% in attack and 1 ace. Brandon Koppers was the most prolific player of the match scoring 16 points for Będzin, but he wasn’t enough to catch at least one set.
Taking advantage from BOGDANKA LUK Lublin defeat on Friday, Aluron sit now at second place in the standings at -3 from leaders and defending champions Jastrzębski Węgiel, victorious today on the field of PSG Stal Nysa also in straight sets, 0-3 (23:25, 22:25, 22:25), with 16 points from top scorer and MVP Thimotée Carle (1 ace, 1 block and 64% in attack).
Round 13 will complete tomorrow with last two games: Trefl Gdańsk will welcome PGE Projekt Warszawa while, in the evening, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów will face Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa.
