Italy: Verona destroy Taranto in Round 11

Round 11 of Superlega CredemBanca 2024/25, started today with the advance between Rana Verona, who wrapped up the first half of the competition season with a stellar 3-0 victory over Gioiella Prisma Taranto (25:20, 25:22, 25:15).
This win solidifies Verona’s fifth-place position.
The game saw standout performances from Verona’s Noumory Keita, who left the court with 17 points to his name, and MVP Lorenzo Cortesia, who also contributed with 9.
Dzavoronok’s early aces set the tone, while Rok Mozic’s ace sealed the second set, and the third was absolute a dominant performance by the home team.
Taranto, despite a desperate effort led by Filippo Lanza (15 points), fell short and missed their chance to qualify for the Coppa Italia.
