Round 16 of 2024/25 Powerfusion Volley League started on November with the game between UVC McDonalds Ried/Innkreis and Sportunion z+p St. Pölten has been completed today with TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg who celebrated a 3-0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:15) home win against last-placed VBK Kelag Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt, consolidating second place. The runner-up will at least finish the preliminary round in third place.
Behind Hartberg is UVC McDonald’s Ried, who won 3-1 (26:24, 22:25, 25:18, 25:20) on the field of newcomers Sportunion z+p St. Pölten in a delayed match of Round 7, and they are now three points ahead of SK Zadruga Aich/Dob.
On Saturday, defending champions HYPO TIROL volleyball team continued their winning streak celebrating a 3-0 (25:20, 25:22, 25:14) home victory against TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien, as well as first place in the regular season since last week with the maximum number of points and with only three sets lost. On Wednesday, they’ll face Belgian champion Knack Roeselare at the end of the Champions League group phase.
