Champions League: Pool Stage is over! All final results and team qualified to playoffs

The final round of 2024/25 CEV Champions League Men’s Pool Stage brought intense action, with all verdicts and all tesm qualified to the next stages of the competition.

In Pool A, PGE Projekt Warszawa secured another commanding win and ACH Volley Ljubljana finally breaking through.
Polish powerhouse so finished Group Stage unbeaten: already guaranteed a quarterfinal spot, they kept their momentum going with a 1-3 (25:23, 17:25, 18:25, 21:25) victory on the field of Berlin Recycling Volleys.
Jurij Semeniuk was named MVP of the game with 13 points through 77% in attack and 3 blocks, while Artur Szalpuk with 16, Kevin Tillie with 15 and Linus Weber also with 13 were decisive too.
Jake Hanes scored 23 points on the losing side.
The team from Poland’s capital dominated Pool A, finishing with a perfect 6-0 record, 18 points, and dropping just two sets and flying directly to quarterfinals, where they’ll face the winners between Halkbank Ankara and Allinz Milano, while Berlin, second in the group, will now battle in the playoffs for a shot at the quarterfinals against Lüneburg in all-german derby!
On the same Pool, after a tough campaign, Slovenia’s ACH Volley Ljubljana celebrated their first victory by sweeping Greenyard Maaseik 0-3 (17:25, 32:34, 25:27). The win secured third place in the group, earning them a place in the CEV Cup quarterfinals!

In Pool B, MINT Vero Volley Monza secured a direct quarterfinal spot, while Olympiacos Piraeus pulled off a dramatic victory in Istanbul to keep their hopes alive.
In a thrilling home match, Italy’s Monza defeated Helios Grizzlys Giesen from Germany 3-1 (23:25, 25:22, 25:19, 25:22), securing a thrilling quarterfinal against their fellow countrymen Perugia.
MVP Diego Frascio shined with 14 points, while Erik Rohrs with 17 and Taylor Averill with 10 played important roles in their dominant comeback. The match also saw a special moment for Woo Jin Lee, who scored his first-ever Champions League point!

Frascio shared his excitement after the game: “It was an incredible match! We started slow but came back strong. Winning MVP for the first time feels amazing. Huge thanks to my team and our fans for the support!”
Meanwhile, Greece’s powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus delivered a huge 2-3 upset over Fenerbahçe (25:27, 25:22, 25:20, 25:27, 15:17) in Istanbul, securing a playoff spot and eliminating their Turkish rivals. Aleksandar Atanasijević with his 20 points and a kill block by Anestis Dalakouras sealed the victory in a nail-biting fifth set. With this win, Olympiacos moves forward, keeping their Champions League dream alive and playing against Champions of France Saint Nazaire.

The final round in Pool C ended with two straight sets win, including a commanding 3-0 (25:22, 25:21, 25:19) victory of Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie over Allianz Milano from Italy in Sosnowiec. This crucial win not only secured the winners the top spot in their group, but also marked a historic first-ever qualification for the Champions League quarterfinals!
Aluron needed to win at least two sets to secure the group lead, but they left no room for doubt with a dominant performance, controlling both attack and serve, finishing with a 9-4 advantage in aces, and led in score by Karol Butryn, author of 18 points, 5 aces, as well
as MVP award, well supported by Aaron Russell who added 14, and Bartosz Kwolek with 11.
Ferre Reggers scored 10 points for Milano.
With a perfect record and 17 points, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie advances directly to the quarterfinals, where they’ll face the winners between Berlin and Lüneburg, while Allianz Milano, finishing second (4-2, 12 points), will now fight for a spot in the next round through a playoff match, where they’ll face Halkbank Ankara from Pool D.
On the same Pool, Belgium’s Knack Roeselare sweep Hypo Tirol Innsbruck from Austria by 3-0 (25:20, 27:25, 25:15).

Pool C: Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia wrapped up the CEV Champions League group stage with a tough 2-3 home defeat to Halkbank Ankara (26:28, 25:14, 25:15, 18:25, 12:15).
Despite the loss, as well as
their third loss in a row counting all competitions, they still finished at the top of Pool D, securing direct quarterfinal spot.
Wassim Ben Tara with his 23 points, 1 ace, 3 blocks and 68% in attack wasn’t enough, and not even Yuki Ishikawa and Kamil Semeniuk who added 19 each.
Marek Sotola led the winners with 18 points through 49% in attack and 1 block.
Meanwhile, French Champions Saint-Nazaire made history by reaching the playoffs in their first-ever Champions League season with a dominant 3-0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:18) win over Ceske Budejovice, paired with Fenerbahçe’s five-set loss to Olympiacos, secured their spot in the next round as the best third placed team, where they will face the Greek powerhouse.

In Pool E, Poland’s giants Jastrzębski Węgiel closed the group stage in style, destroying SVG Luneburg 3-0 (25:16, 25:20, 25:21). With this win, the Polish champions finished undefeated (6-0) and secured a direct spot in the quarterfinals, where they’ll face the winners between Olympiacos and Saint Nazaire.
MVP Timothee Carle with 14 points, 50% in attack and 2 blocks, Tomasz Fornal with 12, Łukasz Kaczmarek with 11 and Anton Brehme with 10 left the court in double digit for the winners, who outperformed the German side in attack efficiency (56% vs. 44%) and blocks (13-4).
SVG Luneburg will now battle in the playoff round for a chance to reach the quarterfinals in German derby vs. Berlin.
Close the picture France’s Chaumont VB who defeated Levski Sofia from Bulgaria also in straight sets, 3-0 (27:25, 25:17, 26:24), but their journey in the Champions League ends here, as they will now compete in the CEV Cup quarterfinals.
